2017 Schedule to feature 3 double-event weekends
Rochester, NY – June 17, 2017: The Tread City Tire / Western New York Super Rod Association (WNYSRA), which is entering its fourth season and showcases some of the best sportsman drag racing competition in the Northeast, is proud to announce its schedule for the 2017 racing season. The schedule will be comprised of six races, all at the 2016 IHRA Division 3 Track of the Year, Empire Dragway, in Leicester, NY.
Jason Oldfield, co-founder of the WNYSRA stated, “I am very proud to announce the Western New York Super Rod Association schedule for the 2017 season. We have had three very successful seasons, but we are looking forward to building off of that to make 2017 our best season so far.”
The full 2017 schedule for the Western New York Super Rod Association is as follows:
- July 29 – 30
- September 2 – 3 (Labor Day Weekend)
- TBD (Rescheduled from May 27 – 28)

The Western New York Super Rod Association was founded in 2014 to provide an outlet for some of the best heads-up, pro-tree competitors in western New York, southern Ontario, and northwestern Pennsylvania to compete in one of the longest running sportsman drag racing categories, IHRA’s Super Rod or NHRA’s Super Gas.
